As a new mother, on-line education has been quite a life saver for me actually. I look to on-line education as a means to furthering my education while still being able to be to home with my son at this early age and to also being able to keep a job while completing my schooling. I would love to be able to enjoy all my classes from the class room but as someone with a family, home and business to run, it just really isn't an option at this time.
I definitely think online education is an asset but I can see where it can lead to people not fully understanding the materials they are supposed to be learning. Let's be honest, we've all had that one class that was a life saver because you could kinda b.s. your way through it! Some schools are more monitored than others which lead to better educations but there are some online schools out there that are just in it for the money. And while some people might argue that it's great because you get the degree but don't have to put in the full effort, but I think that they're only hurting themselves in the long run. You may be able to b.s. your way through online classes but there's no hiding lack of skill and knowledge in the workplace!
But I guess it all boils down to the student and how dedicated they are to getting an education. Those that truly want to better themselves and succeed, will, those that aren't serious will end up worse than before they started because now not only are they still uneducated, but now they're in debt too.

"All Men by Nature Desire to Know"
Aristotle once said "all men by nature desire to know". The thirst for knowledge is one that many like myself share. Art, science, history, religion, culture, so much knowledge and information is floating throughout the world around us. Learning, to me, is one of our primary reasons for being. The search for knowledge and through knowledge the betterment of oneself is something quite amazing. I think it is something that is in us all but the love of learning can be hindered or amplified depending on the conditions and resources around us.
With technology advancing by the day, such a vast multitude of information has never been more readily available thanks to the almighty internet! Computers, televsion, ipads, ipods, kindles, cell phones, all have the ability to bring information right to your fingertips. It's amazing to me the level of technology my son will grow up with compared to what we had. It's inspiring and terrifying all at the same time as well! In short I love to learn and gather knowledge on all kinds of subjects! I think it's unfortunate that with all this technology that can bring so much knowledge to us, is in some way pushing our younger generation further away from the importance of education. It seems were leaning toward a country of game obsessed children and teens that only care about have the latest technology trends, neither with any interest towards learning...
